BoDSA launches its first free summer school in Bo
The Bo District Students’ Alliance has on Monday, 22 July, 2024, launched its first free summer school program at the Bo School Hall in Bo town. The summer school launching which is aimed to benefit thousands of pupils in Bo and uplift their academic performance, was graced by stakeholders from all works of life, pupils, teachers, parents and members of the organization.
During the launching ceremony, the Keynote speaker, Mr. Emmanuel Borbor, the deputy director of Rokel Commercial Bank – expressed his satisfaction for being present at the launching and for being a member of BoDSA. “What BoDSA wants of you is to grow academically. It is unbelievable that students can organize such a program and not only this one but previous programs out of their meager allowances and support from individuals. If we are gathered here today, it is because of you. We are not here for a party, to watch a movie or a comedy show. We are here to motivate you, we are here to encourage you because we believe that education is the way, we believe that education is the key. If it were not for education, I was not going to stand here today ,” said Mr. Borbor in his address to the pupils.
He encouraged the pupils to become members of BoDSA in the various chapters when they entered university and admonished them to take the summer school seriously.
